At left is actor/heroin addict Lillo Brancato,
Jr., who gave the perfomance of his life in his trial for the murder of Police Officer Daniel Enchautegui. A Bronx jury
bought his story, acquitting the man first made famous in the movie A BRONX TALE. Brancato's lawyer Joseph Tacopina
was given the "Lifetime Achievement Award,' for his defense of perps such as Brancato. At right is former NFL
quarterback Michael Vick, who receives the Society's "Dis-Honorable Mention" for placing second in the balloting.
Vick has been convicted for killing dogs for fun and profit.

GOVS GONE WILD! N.Y. Gov. Eliot Spitzer,
a former Prosecutor, was caught with his pants down - but socks still on - in a prostitution ring in which Spitzer was not
charged, despite evidence of money laundering and violation of the Mann Act. Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, also
a former Prosecutor, is accused of trying to sell a U. S. Senate seat & using his influence to terminate members
of the Media who published negative stories about the Governor.

those prosecutors who, for some strange reason, cannot detect former Governor Eliot Spitzer in any impropriety. Soares
investigated Spitzer for his role in the "Troopergate" scandal. At right is Brian McLaughlin, a former State
Assemblyman and Labor leader who stole over $2 million from working people and their families, as well as from kids on a LIttle
League baseball team.

Postman rang a second time in 2008 for O. J. Simpson, convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery charges in Las Vegas, as
well as for "Preppy Murderer" Robert Chambers, convicted in Manhattan on drug trafficking charges. O.
J. was the first "Profile in Cowardice for 1996, while Chambers has been previously dis-honored by the Society for his
murder of 18-year-old Jennifer Levin.

HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD? Actor Ryan O'Neal
was arrested in 2008 on drug charges, as was son Redmond and daughter Tatum. The Media has reported allegations that
Ryan knocked out 2 teeth of son Griffin when he a teen-ager, O'Neal fired off a handgun in a 2007 altercation with Griffin,
and Griffin's boating accident in the 1980s in which his friend, the son of Director Francis Ford Coppola, was killed.
Also nominated for the Profile in Cowardice Award was, at right, the "Unknown Coward," that person
who possesed information about a crime, scandal, or cover-up & chose to remain silent. They know who they are,
and, God Willing, someday so may we!

Spitzer was di-honored for his cowardly attempt to issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens, an act that not only would threaten
our national security but also would further the massive voter fraud that has been perpetrated upon New Yorkers for decades.
Spitzer and his top aides also are alleged to have attempted to frame a political rival in an unfolding scandal known
as "Troopergate." Spitzer easily defeated baseball slugger Barry Bonds, who receives the "Dis-Honorable
Mention" for placing second in the balloting. Bonds is under indictment as part of the widespread investigation
into steroids abuse and athletes.

nominated for the Profile in Cowardice Award were Robert Chambers, the"Preppy Murderer" of young Jennifer Levin,
who is now accused of drug dealing. Wrestling superstar Chris Benoit became the 'poster boy' for the dangers
of steroids abuse when he brutally murdered his wife and young son before hanging himself with a cord from his weight lifting
machine.
